Here's a beautiful thought: 'You are the creation of a thousand loves before you.' Your ancestors lived, loved, sang, cooked, struggled & hoped for thousands of years before you. It was their energy & their journey that brought you here.
Energy can not be created or destroyed. It must be conserved & passed along. Therefore, all the magick of your ancestors is in your blood. There is great power in knowing yourself & knowing where you came from is part of that. So learn what you can & let your intuition guide you. Discover the types of magicks practiced in your ancestors' traditions & make it a point to honor that in your own practice. You will inherently know what's right when you feel that giddy / sure / tingly sensation. It is an intoxication of every part of your spirit & is like coming home.
Do not let modern misinterpretations or images guide you. Do your research in a scholarly way, then think how you can incorporate their history into your own life. When you decide n how to harness your ancestral power, there is TRUE revelation and divinity in that. You will feel that army of spirit behind you. And who gives a damn if it looks like people expect it to look like? Just because your ancestry is Chinese / African / European / Islander / Etc doesn't mean you need to tailor your image to announce it so people have a framework to understand you. Because your ancestors got your back girl & they want you to be your TRUEST self!

What a beautiful post I can feel my chest pounding like the drums of the Aztec dance! I love my roots and have been trying to connect more to the magic of my ancestors. This was so uplifting! I’ve been seeing hummingbirds everywhere too— a message from my ancestors according to our lore. A sign of good fortune and change!
This has been my issue, trying to myself into a box, ive finally let that go and am just doing what feels right to me and its freeing and has really helped
...this has been one of the most enjoyable parts of my journeys...connecting to my roots...praying and speaking to my ancestors in a way that's more enjoyable for me and allows me to flow and not force our interaction... i come from a religious background and the 4 hour services and tarrying until the spirit came, made me loathe church. ..i now enjoy my spiritual bond and connection and i look forward to finding new ways to strengthen it
Connecting to my roots resonated in my soul. Manifesting has never really been hard but I was blindsided by extreme religion. Finally, I’m free to be me and idgaf who has issue with it. We come to learn, grow and evolve and I intend to ride this life until the wheels fall off. Blessings 💕
